Is there anyone safe from Donald Trump? The Donald went after Anderson Cooper, saying nobody trusts the CNN host! Those sound like some serious fighting words!

Donald Trump, 69, hasn’t been making many friends since he announced his candidacy for the 2016 presidential race. After offending basically anyone and everyone, Donald decided his next target would be CNN host Anderson Cooper, 48, who invited him on Anderson Cooper 360 July 22 to discuss his campaign. Citing an important GOP poll, Anderson got Donald riled up. He totally dissed Anderson, telling him that nobody trusted him as a journalist! Watch their fight here!

Anderson had to know when he had Donald has a guest on his show that things were going to get hostile, fast. His exclusive one-on-one interview with Donald spiraled out of control when he mentioned the Quinnipiac Poll, in which the presidential hopeful isn’t doing as well as his fellow candidates. Donald took a jab at Anderson when he got offended.

“I am leading across the board, and then you hit me with a poll that I’ve never seen this before,” Trump said. “All I know is I have a very big group of support, and I think one of the reasons is the people don’t trust you, and the people don’t trust the media. And I understand why.”

Wow, Donald! Way to get seriously personal when Anderson is just stating facts. Even funnier, Donald, admits he hasn’t heard of the Quinnipiac Poll, which is a major deal for presidential candidates! The poll shows that participants don’t care for Donald, by a stunning 2-1 vote — not good! Being Donald, he wasn’t fazed by this news in the slightest.

“I just saw polls in Iowa, I’m doing really well,” Donald insisted to Anderson. “I don’t know, you keep bringing up negative. You only want to bring up the negative. Why don’t you bring up the positive?”

Well that’s one way to look at it! Donald is a very popular candidate with conservative voters, and he’d like to keep focusing on that. But saying people don’t trust Anderson, a respected journalist, might just be a little too much. Does he have any proof? Anderson managed to get the last word in, though; he said that nobody trusted politicians, either!

HollywoodLifers, do you think Donald’s remarks were deserved, or was he overreacting? Tell us in the comments and be sure to take our poll!
