Now that Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have split, who gets custody of the children? When deciding who should take care of Mason, Penelope and Reign, HollywoodLife.com has the scoop that Scott decided Kourtney should get the kids!
A break-up can be hell, especially if there are little ones involved. While Kourtney Kardashian, 36, and Scott Disick, 32, work through their split, they also have to figure out a custody arrangement for their children — Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign. Now, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that Scott made the difficult decision to do what’s best for his kids.
Scott has returned to Los Angeles after a month apart from his family. Though the intense first meeting between Scott and Kourtney since their break-up ended in tears, it may have given him some perspective on his life. Until he gets his act together, Scott thinks it’s best that Kourtney takes care of their three children.
“Scott loves his kids but he also realizes he’s in no condition to have custody of them,” an inside source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. Scott seems to realize that Kourtney keeping the kids at the moment is the right decision for everyone. But, once he gets back on his feet, he wants to be the kind of father he thinks his children deserve.
“He told Kourtney that when he gets settled, he wants to discuss custody arrangements,” the source tells HollywoodLife.com, adding that this painful decision is just for the short-term. However, until the day comes where Scott can properly take care of his family, he thinks “they should be with her.”
Kourtney and Scott’s break-up has really been rough on their kids. In fact, Kourtney had an emotional talk with Mason and Penelope about it. “They knew something was wrong and that their daddy was gone for way too long,” a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. “Kourtney sat them down and did her best to explain that their daddy wasn’t going to live with them anymore.” How sad!
What do you think about Scott’s decision, HollywoodLifers? Do you think he’ll clean his act up to be a good father to his kids?
