Hottest. Agent. Ever. The news broke on July 21 that Robbie Amell, who is known for his roles in ‘The Flash’ and ‘The Duff’ has joined ‘The X-Files’ as well as ‘Six Feet Under’ star, Lauren Ambrose.
Robbie Amell is taking on the role of “smart” and “smooth” Agent Miller (so basically, he’ll be playing himself) on episode four of the return of The X-Files on Fox, and he’s not the only one. Fox has also cast Lauren Abrose as sharp, confident Agent Einstein. Both will reportedly star in one episode.
What does Robbie have ti say about it? “I don’t know what I’m allowed to say. So let’s just say, I’m f–king pumped,” he told HollywoodLife.com!
Fresh new show, fresh new stars. While the original cast is returning for Fox’s revival of The X-Files it does make sense that they would add in some new blood. Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are definitely still good at their jobs, that we can be sure of, but who doesn’t want the help from these two? Mitch Pileggi will be returning as Walter Skinner and William B. Davis as The Smoking Man. Joel McHale, Rhys Darby, Kumail Nanjiani and Annet Mahendru have all signed on for guest roles.
As for what to expect this season, well we’re still not so sure. However, who else thinks it will be comical when Agent Einstein is introduced. I mean, what a great name.
The X-Files revival is set for a two-night premiere beginning Jan. 24 at 10 p.m. ET.
