Remember when Miranda Lambert snubbed her hubby, Blake Shelton, at the ACM Awards back in April? After announcing a divorce on July 20, it all kinda makes sense now…
As we still grieve over the loss of the 4-year marriage between Blake Shelton, 39, and Miranda Lambert, 31, we’ve taken time to reminisce on their blessed union, remembering the good times — and accidentally recalling the bad times (which we never realized were there until now). In a very telling moment of their love saga, Miranda seemingly hinted that there’d been problems in her relationship with Blake months before calling it quits. Click inside to watch!
Miranda had quite the night at the 50th annual ACM Awards on April 19, making waves both professionally and personally. The blond beauty cleaned house, winning three separate awards after an incredible career-changing year in 2014 — and also let on to the fact that she and Blake had seen better days.
She won Song of the Year for “Automatic,” Album of the Year for Platinum and Female Vocalist of the Year as well. As for the personal part? She fueled rumors that she and Blake were indeed on the rocks by suspiciously leaving his name out of all three of her acceptance speeches. Ouch!
Take a look at the video above and see her neglect to name Mr. Shelton as she takes home the title for Song of the Year.
While fans didn’t quite catch the signs that there was trouble in paradise (us included) for the country couple, one more unsuspecting individual was also sucker-punched by their split. Who, you ask? Miranda’s own mom!
In a disheartening admission, Miranda’s mama, Beverly June Hughes, confessed that she knew nothing of her divorce from Blake until they announced it to the public. “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” she told RadarOnline, when reached via phone on July 20. “They didn’t tell me!” Don’t worry, Bev — you weren’t the only one who was blindsided.
