OMG. Poor Miranda Lambert was in tears while performing one of her powerful ballads just 2 days before it was revealed she and Blake Shelton had filed for divorce. Click inside to WATCH.
Miranda Lambert, 31, captivated her fans when she stood at the edge of a stage on Saturday night, July 18, with tears streaming down her face. Although she was not wearing a wedding ring, no one could have known that her heart was broken in two because her 4-year marriage to Blake Shelton, 39, was over.
As if this heartbreaking news couldn’t get any sadder, video has surfaced of Miranda crying onstage just days before the news of her divorce from Blake went public. Although the video is a bit unclear, you can see Miranda wiping away tears as the audience sings one of her most heartfelt songs back to her: “The House That Built Me.”
As you can see, Miranda has stepped away from her mic stand and is instead nodding along as her fans sing the words loud and clear. She starts out with her hands in her pockets, but then you can see her wiping her cheeks clean. According to fans who were at the show, Miranda was not wearing her wedding ring for the performance, reports E! Online.
“The House That Built Me” was released back in 2010, just one year before she and Blake tied the knot. Although the song is about going back to her childhood home one last time, it’s obvious that Miranda’s emotions were running high as her marriage was quietly coming to an end. Watching her wipe the tears off of her cheeks will make your heart ache.
