Harry Potter is nowhere to be seen in this video. Daniel Radcliffe recently decided to reveal to the world his inner Eminem, rapping the classic ‘The Real Slim Shady,’ and you are basically going to die.
Okay, we’re standing up. On a recent summer night in Half Moon Bay, CA, Daniel Radcliffe participated in a little karaoke, but don’t expect to hear the Harry Potter star go with the tired “Don’t Stop Believing,” or some other singalong classic. Nope, Daniel (with some help from girlfriend Erin Darke) decided to demonstrate his rap skills with Eminem‘s 2000 classic, “The Real Slim Shady” and, to be honest, we’re thoroughly impressed. You need to watch this immediately!
We all know that Daniel is multi-talented, but we did not know that he could add rapping to his growing list of skills! Luckily, thanks to the internet and iPhone video, we now have concrete proof that Daniel can spit some rhymes.
“May I have your attention please?” he commands, as those iconic chords begin to sound. He asks again, and then, yup, “Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?” Do you have chills? Because we totally have chills.
Daniel is accompanied on the karaoke stage by his lady love, who adds to the vibe by contributing some very fitting dance moves. We can see the words to the song rolling by on a screen, however, as the song progresses, it becomes pretty clear that Daniel does not in fact need them, as he has this baby committed to memory.
Hey, we all went through our early 2000s-Eminem-inspired phase (what, you never bleached your hair blonde? Yeah exactly, and that applies to both genders).
What do you think of Daniel’s rapping? Are you as impressed as we are, or should he have just sung, like, “Let It Go”?
