May the force be with you, Amy Schumer. The ‘Trainwreck’ star is in hot water over her ‘Star Wars’-themed ‘GQ’ photo shoot. Disney and Lucasfilm, the studios behind the epic film series, slammed Amy for her ‘inappropriate’ shoot.
Shots have been fired in the galaxy! Disney and Lucasfilm threw major shade at Amy Schumer, 34, after catching a glimpse at her Star Wars-themed photo shoot for GQ’s latest cover, which featured Amy sucking on C-3PO’s finger. The studios claim they never approved the use of the characters in the photo shoot and called it “inappropriate.” Yikes.
After some fans showed their distaste for the photo shoot on Twitter, the official Star Wars account responded to each tweet with this statement: “Lucasfilm & Disney didn’t approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.”
Wow. Disney and Lucasfilm are not happy about this. Amy’s spread was pretty racy. On the cover alone, Amy donned Princess Leia’s iconic bikini and got a little frisky with C-3PO. Amy also posed totally topless in bed with C-3PO and R2-D2! The studios were likely not pleased with the photo of Amy with a lightsaber in her mouth. Talk about a controversy! HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Amy’s rep for comment.
However, Luke Skywalker himself had a different opinion on the raunchy shoot. Mark Hamill tweeted: “Got excited when I saw @amyschumer @GQMagazine pics & thought she was just cast in Ep 8! We should be so lucky.”
Amy Schumer Flaunts Major Sideboob At ‘Trainwreck’ Premiere
Even if Disney and Lucasfilm aren’t fans of Amy’s photo shoot, the comedienne is still Hollywood’s new “It girl.” Her film Trainwreck is an absolute hit, and she’s shutting down red carpets with her fierce outfits.
At the film’s New York City premiere on July 14, Amy rocked a little black dress that featured a lot of sideboob. Looks like Amy’s paying no attention to the haters out there! Get it, girl!
