So devastating. Australian musician Nick Cave’s teenage son Arthur, tragically died after falling off a 60ft cliff in England. How awful.

Nick Cave‘s, 57, young teenage son Arthur, 15, was found on a coastal path at the foot of Ovingdean Gap in Brighton, East Sussex, on July 14. He had fallen 60ft off a cliff and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

So tragic. Arthur passed away on July 14 after falling from a cliff 60ft high, according to The Guardian. He was found with life-threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap and airlifted to a hospital. Sadly, he later died from his injuries.

“A 15-year-old boy who was found with life-threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap, having fallen from the cliff above, has sadly died in hospital on Tuesday,” a spokesperson for the Sussex police told the press.

“Members of the public carried out first aid on the boy before he was taken to the Royal Sussex county hospital, Brighton, just after 6 p.m. He later died there of his injuries. The death is being dealt with by the coroner’s officer.”

Nick and his wife, Susie Bick, paid tribute to their son, who sadly also leaves behind his twin brother, Earl. The statement confirming Arthur’s death read, “Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy, loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time.”

His death is not being treated as suspicious, according to the outlet. So heartbreaking.

Prior to his untimely death, Arthur and his twin brother Earl Cave both appeared in 20,000 Days on Earth, a quasi-documentary that followed the Bad Seeds singer over the course of a day, according to Rolling Stone.

Our thoughts are with Nick Cave and his family and friends during this difficult time.
