Dang, Joel McHale! That was cold — and funny! Joel kicked off the 2015 ESPY Awards with some hilarious jokes that poked fun at all the athletes gathered for the July 15 awards show. He even managed to diss both Justin Bieber and Bill Cosby! Click to watch all of his sick burns!

Joel McHale, 43, knew he had to bring his comedy A-Game when he hosted the 2015 ESPY Awards. Oh, he certainly came prepared to go head-to-head with some of the biggest names in sports. The Community star kicked off the awards show and everybody was fair game: from jockey Victor Espinoza, 43, to the Manny Pacquiao, 36, and Floyd Mayweather, 38, fight. Joel even managed to diss non-sports celebs like Justin Bieber, 21, and Bill Cosby, 78!

The host of The Soup is used to taking shots at celebrities and reality television stars. Now, it was the sports world’s turn. Joel made his entrance to the July 15 ceremony after a funny skit featuring Russell Wilson, as the two joked about the Seattle Seahawks’ disastrous decision to throw, instead of hand off, the ball in the 2015 Super Bowl. After giving a ride to the Triple Crown winning jockey, Victor Espinoza, Joel thanked him and apologized that he would be “the first person President Donald Trump will deport to Mexico.”

From there, Joel cracked some hilarious jokes at all those in the audience. He said the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight was so weak, he’d seen “better fights over beach chairs.” Hilarious! But when Joel got around to hockey, things got a little dark!

“It has been 22 years since a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup. It’s also been 22 years since Canada’s own, Justin Bieber, was conceived. It’s not a coincidence, Canada. It’s not. ” Joel said. He seemed to imply something sinister when he then said, “You know what you have to do.”

Joel went on to talk about how it was a great year for Women in sports, bringing up the US Women’s Soccer World Cup Victory, Serena Williams and Ronda Rousey.  “UFC Champion Ronda Rousey may be the most dominant athlete in all of sports,” said Joel. “Ronda has knocked out more women than Bill Cosby,” WOW.

After a year full of deflated balls, Triple Crowns and World Cups, Joel had plenty to work with and nobody was off-limits. “Everybody is open to have jokes about them if I’m there,” Joel said when talking to the Associated Press. “The only thing you can’t really make fun of is the “in memoriam” section of the show.

Serena will look to continue her Wimbledon winning ways, beating Ronda and Lindsey Vonn to take the Best Female Athlete award. And, Hope Solo, Abby Wambach, Carli Lloyd and the rest of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team look to take home the Best Team award to put next to their World Cup.
