Family is always the best support system! Caitlyn Jenner is set to make her first major public appearance at the ESPYs on July 15, but the big night wouldn’t be complete without the help of her kids who will be right by her side!
The 2015 ESPYs are a major night for Caitlyn Jenner as she accepts the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. A source tells to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that the 65-year-old reality star understandably has some major jitters going into the big event. But, those nerves won’t be around long thanks to her family — as her kids will be supporting her every step of the way!
Since Caitlyn’s debut on the cover of Vanity Fair in June, her kids have shown nothing but support for her new life. There’s no better way to continue showing their love than by attending the ESPYs to cheer her on—and that’s exactly what they’re doing! “Caitlyn will have a little army with her,” an insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She’s not just going to have her kids, so many of her new friends are going to be at the awards cheering her on too. Her kids are the most important guests, they were her top priority, but having her friends there was important for her too. She’s got major nerves going into this but she’s also got so much support. Having her family with her for this is helping her feel strong, she feels very protected by them and it means the world to her.”
We’re so glad to know she’ll have such a big crowd to support her through the nervousness. One person that won’t be there, though, is Rob Kardashian. Another insider told us he has too many personal issues to work out and doesn’t want to deal with the “craziness.” Despite Rob’s absence, we’re sure the rest of Caitlyn’s “army” will serve as a great bunch of cheerleaders!
It’s totally understandable for Caitlyn to be nervous—after all, she did say that the ESPYs will be her first chance to “stand as her true self” in front of her peers! In addition, our source said Caitlyn also realizes what receiving the award and appearing on live television means for the people she is representing. “This is a huge night for Cailtyn but this is also a huge night for the whole community and she recognizes that,” the source tells us. “She isn’t just doing this for herself—she says this award is bigger than just her.”
We’re so proud of Caitlyn for the courage she has shown so far, and we can’t wait to see her accept her big award. Plus, the fact that her kids will be there makes the entire night all the more special! Are you happy to hear that Caitlyn’s kids will be at the ESPYs, HollywoodLifers?
