Not long after the taping for this season’s ‘Men Tell All’ special, ‘Bachelorette’ contestant JJ Lane was bum rushed by a group of gang members who left him battered and bruised.
Yikes! This just might be more dramatic than every single rose ceremony in the history of The Bachelorette combined. JJ Lane, 32, one of the many guys vying for Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s heart, suffered a brutal attack as he left a party in Los Angeles the night of Saturday, July 11. Click inside for all the details!
JJ was taken to a hospital after getting decked in the face as he was exiting a cast and crew get-together, celebrating the wrap of the Men Tell All episode. In a shocking photo posted on Twitter, he is seen sporting two black eyes, the result of the assault.
JJ was besieged by five guys, who he believes to be involved in a gang. His attackers took several swings to his face, according to TMZ. The site also alleges that frightened onlookers ran back into the party to get help to break things up. Luckily, hunky muscle machine Ben Zorn (another one of Kaitlyn’s rejects) came out to save the day, prying the men off of the ex-investment banker.
Afterwards, JJ immediately sought medical attention as he was fearful of possibly suffering from a concussion, the site claims. The dangerous encounter has not been reported to the police as of yet. The business owner and father-of-one was best known to fans of the show as one of the “Brokeback Bachelors” — after he struck up a fiery bromance with Clint Arlis.
Soon after they professed their love for one another, JJ moved out of bi-curious territory and slid into his role as the show’s villain, calling himself “the most hated man” on the program. He was eliminated from the show two weeks ago after dramatically admitting he had cheated on his ex-wife, which left Kaitlyn impressed by his honesty — but unfortunately felt it was right to let him go since her “worst nightmare” is marrying a cheater.
But this isn’t the last you’ll see of JJ. He’s set to appear on the next season of Bachelor In Paradise, which will premiere later this year.
