This week started with the second part of Nick V. Shawn. Luckily, that was over after three minutes and we got to move away from eskimo brothers and onto Ben H.’s overnight, AKA the #bestsleepoverever.
Let me just say this: Ben H. won my heart in week one, and after that overnight, I was convinced if Kaitlyn Bristowe doesn’t pick him, he should definitely be the next Bachelor. I mean, they stayed in a castle for their overnight, which totally felt fitting. Also, she only got half an hour of sleep. Wink, wink.
Next up was Shawn’s one-on-one, where Kaitlyn felt it necessary to dare him to go streaking through the golf course, after dressing him in the brightest outfit (that he totally rocked) ever.
However, as fun as that was, Kaitlyn had to bring up Nick during their dinner. She ended up making a standard Bach mistake, by telling him that Nick told her about the “eskimo brothers.” She basically wanted to take him off camera to discuss so they had their overnight date, which quickly went to his walk of shame right to Nick’s door for yet another argument. Ugh!
It’s Final Two Time
At the rose ceremony, Kaitlyn (who wore literally the most stunning, plunging dress ever) had to take an extra moment to compose herself before sending one man home… and that was Ben H. It was absolutely heart wrenching, but in a way, not surprising. As much as Nick and Shawn were focusing on each other, it’s clear she had a chemistry with them that she didn’t have with Ben. Ugh, and when she walked them out, the guys were left there, drinking their champagne. In dead silence.
Meet The Parents
So, both men headed to Utah for family time — for some reason, it was in a hotel this time. Nick first awkwardly told Kaitlyn that while he had questions with Andi Dorfman, he had no reservations with Kaitlyn. Anyway, he did tell her he loved her and while she was happy, we were then cut to his family who were basically miserable with the idea he could be getting his heart broken again.
However, his family liked her a lot and definitely made her feel welcome. Even his little sis Bella accepted her which was adorable. He also told his mom that she’s great at making out, and when they did do that afterward, he whispered, “I love you,” and she answered with, “Promise?”
Shawn’s family was next, which we were more excited about since we already had met Nick’s. Shawn’s family were a little more tough, as they had a lot of questions, in a good way! I loved that his dad was a real dad, he wanted to make sure it was real and not just lust. After the date, Shawn finally told Kaitlyn he was in love with her. Aww.
Alright guys, who do you want to win? Let me know!
