Kristen Stewart has been through a LOT, but now that the ‘Twilight’ era and her buzzed-about affair with Ruper Sanders are long behind her, she’s ready to open up about how she finally moved on from all the public scrutiny. Get the scoop here!
After a rough few years in her early 20s, Kristen Stewart, 25, has adopted a new mantra: giving zero f—s! The actress was caught cheating on Robert Pattinson, 29, with director Rupert Sanders, who was married at the time, in 2012, and three years later, has finally figured out how to recover from the public fallout.
“Speaking very candidly, it was a really traumatic period in my early 20s that kick-started something in me that was a bit more feral,” she tells Marie Claire. After realizing that, Kristen says she decided to stop worrying about the public’s opinion of her, and instead, embrace the labels that people targeted her with.
“I lit my universe on fire and I watched it burn,” she explains, of the cheating scandal. “I’m really proud that I am able to move forward and not fall into every mental crater. That’s a new thing for me. Age has made me smarter and calmer and it is f—ing awesome.”
Kristen and Rupert were caught by cameras indulging in some MAJOR PDA on the set of their 2012 film Snow White & The Hunstman, still months before the premiere of the final Twilight film. While K.Stew and Rob tried to work their relationship out for a few months, they eventually called it quits, and Rupert also split from his wife, Liberty Ross.
These days, Kristen says she has a different approach when it comes to dealing with difficult situations. “Lately, I’ve been doing less of the ‘I’m soooo sorry” and more of the ‘No. F—. Jesus,'” she reveals. Hmm…perhaps that why she’s kept so quiet, yet hasn’t hid much in public, amid rumors that she’s dating Alicia Cargile!
