It definitely wasn’t easy for the prel iminary judges to narrow down the 51 Miss USA contestants to the Top 15, but just one hour into the show, the first cuts were made — and the ladies who made it past the first hurdle still had a long way to go! For the contestants, one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the night is the swimsuit competition, and we’ve rounded up photos of all 15 finalists rocking their super hot bikinis. Check ’em out here!
Pageant queens from Texas, Maryland, Arizona, Michigan, Virginia, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Hawaii, New York, Illinois, Nevada, Oklahoma, Delaware, Louisiana and Alabama got to walk the runway in their swimsuits, and to be quite honest, they all totally killed it. How are the judges possibly going to pick a winner?!
The ladies strutted their stuff on the stage and it was seriously too hot to handle. Miss Texas was up first, rocking it in a sequined red two-piece, followed by Miss Maryland in an all-white number. The rest of the gals followed in the order listed above, switching on an off between versions of both bikinis. As the runway show went on, the crowd continued to remain engaged, cheering the contestants on as they confidently owned the stage.
To break up the modeling, Travis Garland performed with some entertaining dancers throughout the segment. The singer was the last performer to remain as part of the show, after original acts Flo Rida, Craig Wayne Boyd and J Balvin dropped out following Donald Trump’s anti-Mexican remarks during his presidential campaign.
After the swimsuit competition, the judges chose their Top 10 — contestants from Nevada, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Maryland, Louisiana, Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Delaware and Texas moved on. SO exciting! PLUS, viewers also got to vote to save one of the five remaining young ladies to stay in the competition, and Miss Kentucky also got to stick around.
