Harrison Ford Makes First Appearance Since Plane Crash At Comic-Con

If there’s a place to return to the spotlight, it’s San Diego Comic-Con — and that’s what Harrison Ford did on July 10! Following his plane crash on March 5, the actor has been pretty MIA, but he did show up as the surprise guest to the Lucasfilm panel.

The force was definitely with us when we saw Harrison Ford walk onto the Hall H stage at 2015 San Diego Comic-Con! The actor, AKA Han Solo, joined Lucasfilms President Kathleen Kennedy, director J.J. Abrams, writer Lawrence Kasdan for the official ‘Star Wars’ panel where we had so many questions about The Force Awakens. And Comic Con was the place to it.

Harrison had a limp, but he walked out and hugged his Star Wars co-star, Mark Hamill, and shared a kiss with Carrie Fisher. When he was asked how he’s doing, Harrison said, “I’m fine.” His leg is still injured, but he said, “My foot? I just walked here.”

When asked how it felt coming back to Star Wars, he said, “It should have felt ridiculous. It was 30-frmmph years ago, and I grew up!”

Everyone absolutely freaked out when Harrison arrived since he was absent at the last big event — the first ever Star Wars Celebration Live on Apr. 16.  Kathleen Kennedy and J.J. were there, as well as Peter Mayhew. Of course, when asked about Harrison, J.J. said that he “sends his best.”

“He’s doing great and working hard. I had respect for him all my life, but I’ve never had more respect for the guy until I saw how he landed that plane,” he said. “That was amazing what he did. He was more of a hero in that moment than anything he’s ever been in.”

Are you excited to see Harrison back, HollywoodLifers? Were you surprised? Let us know!
