This is nuts. A new trailer for ‘Air,’ starring ‘Walking Dead’ star Norman Reedus, was released at Comic-con and it’s going to have your palms sweating big time.
In Air, which will hit theaters on Aug. 14, Norman Reedus plays one of two custodial workers tasked with up keeping an underground facility which contains the very last remnants of society– containing a ton of people in a cryogenic sleep known as “sleepers”– following a nuclear fallout which caused the atmosphere to be unbreathable. In the trailer, we see Norman and his coworker (played by Djimon Hounsou) go for their scheduled check-ups and that’s when trouble ensues. Check it out!
“Our priority is the safety of all American people,” we hear someone (who we can perhaps assume is the president) say on a television which plays in the background of the facility. Meanwhile, we see Norman and Djimon manning their cryogenically frozen subjects, checkin’ up on them and whatnot.
“The reason why we’re here is to keep these people alive,” Djimon says of the experiment. “They are the last remnants of human civilization.” Oh okay, nothing could go wrong there, right?
Well, it might not shock you to hear that something does go wrong. Really wrong. “That’s all the reserve air we got,” Norman says. He then tells Djimon that he needs to “pick one,” as they stand around the masses of sleeping bodies. We don’t know what exactly he means, but we’re guessing it has something to do with taking one of ’em out. “We’re not murderers,” Djimon tells him.
“You’re a danger to me, you’re a daner to the sleepers, you’re a danger to this whole facility,” Norman fires back. If the trailer doesn’t get you excited enough for the movie, you should know it also comes from the creator of Walking Dead (the series on which Norman stars), so you know it’s gonna be good.
What do you think of the trailer? Are you excited for Air?
