Ariana Grande’s doughnut-licking video is now a police matter. California police, as well as Riverside County public health officials, are investigating the video that led to scandal for the ‘Break Free’ singer. HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVE details on the situation!
Yikes. Ariana Grande’s doughnut-licking scandal just took a shocking turn. The video, which appears to show the 22-year-old licking doughnuts left out by employees at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California, is now the subject of a police investigation. Since the licked doughnuts were left out unprotected and exposed, the video is also being investigated by the Environmental Health department.
Ariana may have apologized for some of her actions in the video, but her troubles are far from over. Police in Lake Elsinore, California and Riverside County public health officials are now investigating the video, the Associated Press reported.
Keith Jones, Deputy Director with the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health, tells HollywoodLife.com: “Our dept. is working with law enforcement. We did a full investigation at Wolfee’s Donuts on July 8, and we were told that it is not a common practice for Wolfee’s Donuts to leave their food products out and exposed to the public. We did not issue a citation. We plan on doing a follow-up investigation in a week’s time.”
Dottie Ellis-Merki, a spokeswoman for the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health, said the agency was looking into why the doughnuts were left unprotected and exposed to the police, which is in violation of state food laws. “During the investigation, the manager did state they normally don’t leave donuts out like was shown in the video,” Dottie said in an email to the Associated Press. “The employee went to the back to retrieve freshly made donuts by request of the customer [Grande] and left the trays out while getting other trays.” She said investigators found no further issues at the shop. The health score at Wolfee Donuts has since been lowered from an A to a B.
Ariana and new beau Ricky Alvarez were seen apparently “licking and spitting” on doughnuts at Wolfee Donuts over the Fourth of July weekend. Wolfee Donuts owner, Joe Marin, was “upset” over the Ariana and Ricky’s actions and demanded an apology! “I want an apology,” Joe said. “We are reaching out to the customers but it wasn’t until the next morning when I watched the tape that I caught them licking and spitting, I call it spitting on the doughnuts.”

Ariana Grande Apologizes For ‘I Hate America’ Comments
During her time at Wolfee Donuts, Ariana was also caught on video saying that she “hates America.” The starlet released a statement on July 8 apologizing for her disrespectful comments.
“I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country,” she said in her statement. “What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words… I hope to make it up to all those fans soon. That being said let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words.” To hear more about the Ariana Grande doughnut scandal, head over to iTunes and download the HollywoodLife podcast for free!
