We’ve all been there kid. One little boy was pulled over and ticketed for illegally parking his plastic motorcycle on a boardwalk in Canada and his reaction is hilarious. Honestly, this picture is just too cute for words!
Declan Tramley, 3, may not have his license yet, but he knew exactly how to react when he got written up for his first parking ticket at a no-parking zone. As for Constable Shawn Currie, the Canadian officer who issued the ticket, it was just another day on the job.
Canadian officer Constable Shawn Currie is fighting crime — one toddler at a time. In a now viral photo, you see Declan sitting on the side of his red plastic motorcycle, with one hand placed on his forehead in exasperation. The telltale sign of the average person getting a ticket.
Declan’s father had approached the officer earlier in the day and told him that his son loves police. So, the officer and his coworkers came up with the adorable plan to give him a ticket as a joke, Sgt. Pierre Bourdages told ABC News.
“He parked his bike just like the other motorcyclists would,” he stated to the outlet. “He walked away, and we thought it would be funny if I walked over and just pretended to write him a parking ticket.” The picture was shared on the Halifax Regional Police Facebook with the caption, “Remember, you cannot park your motorcycle in the circle by the ferry terminal, we caught this ruthless biker there yesterday.”
Declan loves his ticket so much, that he even takes it to bed with him! “He loves his ticket,” his mother told CTV News. “He tried to go bed with his ticket.”
“We’re not always making arrests and hauling people away,” Officer Currie told the outlet. “We like to have fun.” Everyone found it hilarious, so job well done!
