Alert, alert: Chris Pine has an accent and is trapped at sea. If you get anxiety from intense movies, you may want to sit down before this one.
In the new trailer for Disney’ The Finest Hours, Chris Pine and his crew take on a “suicide mission,” by going out on the water during the biggest storm of the year. Based on a true story and book by Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias, we get a look at the horrifying adventure the U.S. Coast Guard was set into in 1952. Watch the trailer here.
Chris Pine takes on the role as Captain Bernie Webber who goes head-to-head with 60-foot high waves, winds, and basically has no protection. His assistant engineer, Ray Sybert, is played by Casey Affeck, who ends up having to step in when everyone is disagreeing; meanwhile, Eric Bana plays the Warrant Officer, who orders the mission to begin with — not knowing just how bad it is. Of course, this is based on the massive nor’easter that struck New England on February 18,1952.
Also in the film is Rachel Brosnahan, who takes on the girl that Capt. Webber falls for, Bea Hansen. So, can Chris lead a team of four through the storm? The Finest Hours hits theaters January 29, 2016!
