Taylor Swift is helping one sick fan get rid of her ‘Bad Blood’, one dollar at a time. When Naomi Oakes’ family created a video documenting her battle with leukemia in a hospital bed, the singer took action and stepped up to help.
Taylor Swift, 25, is know for her selflessness, and this just continues to prove how amazing she is. Little Naomi Oakes, 11, is a dedicated Swiftie who sadly has to miss Taylor’s upcoming concert in Phoenix, because she’s battling leukemia and can’t leave the hospital. So, her icon took action!
When Naomi’s family created an inspiring video about the young girl’s sickness and love for Taylor, they couldn’t have imagined this outcome. They originally wanted to reach the singer and let her know that Naomi’s fight song is “Bad Blood”. They also hoped that Taylor would show her support to the eleven-year-old on social media which would lift her spirits. Well, the singer did more than that.
Taylor generously donated $50,000 to Naomi’s GoFundMe page two days after the video was posted on YouTube. That’s not all. She wrote the sweetest and most genuine message to the little girl, “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”
As soon as Naomi checked her page, she was at a loss of words — literally. He family videotaped her reaction to seeing Taylor’s large donation and personal message. In the video she says, “I can barely breath,” while looking at the computer screen with a smile in her face. She continues to gush and says, “I seriously think I’m going to pass out.” She’s beyond adorable!
