This is so touching. YouTube star Shane Dawson uploaded an incredibly emotional video to his page on July 7, in which he came out as bisexual for the first time…and his fans couldn’t have been more supportive.

Shane Dawson is known for his parodies and comedic sketches on YouTube, but on July 7, he shared a much different video with his nearly 7 million subscribers. In a touching, 15-minute clip, the 26-year-old opens up about his struggle with sexuality, and admits, for the first time, that he’s bisexual. Check out some of the most supportive fan comments!

“This is a really hard video for me to make and I’m really scared,” Shane admits at the beginning of his message. “I never thought I’d be making this ever, and I woke up this morning and I just had to.” The YouTube star ads that he felt he needed to share his story in order to help others.

“I’m not [gay]. I’m not completely gay,” he tells fans. “I can’t sit here and say that I am because that’s not real, that’s not genuine. But I also can’t sit here and say that I’m straight. And this is something that I’ve come to the conclusion through therapy and just being honest with myself: I am bisexual.”

Throughout the entire video, Shane seems on the verge of tears, which is evident in his shaking voice. “The reason I’m talking about it is because there’s a lot of coming out videos of people who are gay or lesbian, and they’re so confident,” he explains. “They’re like, ‘I’ve known since I was five, I’ve always been gay.’ But it made me cry because I’m not that. I don’t know who I am 100 percent. And I know that a lot of you guys might feel the same way.”

But although sharing the video was incredibly hard for Shane, his fans couldn’t have been more supportive. For hours after he posted the clip, Twitter blew up with sweet messages from followers who are so proud of the YouTuber for taking this incredible step in his journey. Check out some of the tweets:
