Whoa. Novak Djokovic lost his cool during a Wimbledon match when asking for a towel from a ball girl on Tuesday, July 7. In fact, he aggressively yelled ‘towel’ so many times that she was left shaken and in tears. Watch the horrible video here.
During a Wimbledon match on Tuesday, July 7, Novak Djokovic, 28, verbally attacked a young ball girl. In the sixth game of the final set, Novak screamed at the girl for a towel. When she didn’t give it to him fast enough, he screamed louder. And when he was done using it, he just threw it back at her. Ouch.
The girl was reportedly left “visibly shaken” and crying, sources told the Daily Mail. Novak said he was drawn out over two days, and it was “frustrating.” Eyewitnesses told Daily Mail that Novak acted “aggressively” towards the ball girl. When Novak realized what he had done, he apologized, according to the Daily Mail. “I’m sorry. There was nothing towards her. Maybe she was just afraid of my screaming there. I was pretty close to her. I’m definitely going to try to apologize to her if I did something wrong,” he said. Watch the video below.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Novak has yelled at someone on the court. He screamed in a ball boy’s face earlier this year at the Miami Open, according to SportsGrid, which he was then given a warning for. And in August 2011, he hit a ball girl. Watch the video below.
