Jenelle Evans has sparked yet another controversy. The ‘Teen Mom 2’ star has people livid after she posted a video of herself throwing a lit firework and seemingly telling her dog to fetch it. Click to see the video for yourself!
Jenelle Evans can’t seem to stay out of the media. On July 4, the reality star shared a VERY controversial video of her dog Jax playing with a lit firework and people are fuming mad over it — no pun intended!
In the video, you hear Jenelle call the dog by the name and you see her tossing the lit firework into the yard. Another voice, presumably her son Jace, says “Come on” to the dog. Not a good precedent to set for your child who may think it’s okay to have animals near fireworks.
Sadly, despite quickly deleting the footage from her social media, Jenelle isn’t sorry for the mess she made. She told TMZ that it was all a misunderstanding. The reality star adds that she was having “innocent” fun and that her dog Jax is totally fine. The kicker? She claims that she wouldn’t hesitate to do the same thing next year.
As for why she thought it was okay, well she saw it on TV. In an attempt to defend her actions, she claims that Americas Funniest Home Videos showed footage of a dog grabbing a firework, and people found it humorous. The thing is, in THAT video, the dog wasn’t coxed into playing fetch. Actually, that dog in particular ran up to the stable, lit firework, and grabbed it himself.
Yet, Jenelle posted the video on her Twitter with the following statement:
Weiner Dog with Firework in mouth on the Fourth of July. Almost hurt people, but this is all funny to you guys. https://t.co/QKfoZ8g7k9

It’s hard to not get upset seeing the video. Clearly, the dog shouldn’t be anywhere near the fireworks, whether Jenelle meant to play fetch with him or not.
