A full length trailer is finally here! We’ve got our first real look at Netflix’s original series, ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp,’ and it’s literally funnier than you could have imagined.
In Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, which hits the streaming site on July 30, we join our favorite debauchery-loving counsellors for the very first day of summer camp, which will unfold over the course of eight episodes. Of course, the first day of camp means a ton of other firsts too: first jobs and, yup, first crushes. Check out the hilarious peak at Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd and all the other A-list “teenagers” together again!
“These are some things that will not happen here this summer,” the counsellors are informed. “No relations between campers and counsellors. This includes…” And just as he begins to explain some, uh, activities, which frankly we’ve never heard of, Paul glides through on his motorcycle before hopping off of it mid-motion leaving it to literally crash and burn.
In other words, boy oh boy is this show gonna be good. Amy and Bradley Cooper are of course back in their roles as heads of the theater department and, just as we remember, they will accept nothing but utmost professionalism. “Get the f–k out!” Amy screams at one camper not up to her standards.
Elizabeth Banks also returns and her scene in this trailer is essentially too embarrassing to summarize here, so we suggest just watching it for yourself. So…squishy. Also– and this one is major– this trailer finally gives us our first look at Kristen Wiig‘s anticipated role in the series! And, better yet (okay, maybe not better but equally as amazing), Jon Hamm will be a part of the show as well!
What do you think of the full trailer? Are you excited for the show?
