Another day, another candidate. Jim Webb, a former one-term senator from Virginia and Navy secretary, announced his campaign to run in the 2016 Presidential Election on Thursday, July 2. He’s got some steep competition, but Jim is confident he’ll soon become the new POTUS.

Former one-term senator from Virginia, Jim Webb, 69, wants to live in the White House! But more importantly, he wants to become the next President of the United States and change the world, which is why the democrat announced his campaign to run in the 2016 Presidential Election.

“After many months of thought, deliberation and discussion, I have decided to seek the office of the Presidency of the United States,” Jim wrote on his website Thursday, July 2.

Jim acknowledged the steep competition, but said he believes “our country needs a fresh approach to solving the problems that confront us and too often unnecessarily divide us.”

As President, Jim promises to “tackle increasing educational opportunities, rebuilding national infrastructure and enhancing American national security while avoiding ‘ill-considered’ foreign entanglements,” according to USA Today.

“With enough financial support to conduct a first-class campaign, I have no doubt that we can put these issues squarely before the American people and gain their support,” he said.

Unfortunately, he is running against a lot of people.
