This is absolutely amazing! A brand new picture of ‘Batman V Superman’ has just been released and it not only features Batman and Superman, but also Wonder Woman! We know, dead.
Now that’s a group of smoldering superheroes. In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will hit theaters on March 25, 2016, Ben Affleck will take on the Dark Knight, while Henry Cavill will play his antagonist, Superman. And, thrillingly, Gal Gadot will play our womanly savior, Wonder Woman. All three grace the cover on Entertainment Weekly and the photo is all kinds of badass. See for yourself!
For Entertainment Weekly‘s Comic Con issue, we are not only getting an amazing first look in photos at the sure-to-be huge film, but we’re also learning more about each superhero and what the actors bringing them to life have to say.
Much like the Batmen who have come before him, Ben’s caped hero will be facing internal struggle. “He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it,” said Ben. “But this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.”
Henry has his some introspective thoughts about his character, too. “I like to think that Man of Steel was the perspective of the world from Clark, Kal-El, looking at the world and trying to exist with in it,” he said. “Batman v Superman is definitely more mankind’s perspective of Superman.”
Along with the three aforementioned superheroes, Batman v Superman will also feature a very special appearance by Aquaman (who will be played by Jason Momoa). Talk about a DC family affair, right? In fact, the franchise co-creator, Zack Snyder, has plans to keep going even beyond that.“It’s a marathon,” he said. “No, it’s a marathon within a marathon. Do you know that race from Death Valley to the top of Mount Whitney? It’s, like, 100 miles and it’s from the lowest point in the continental United States to the highest. It’s crazy. Anyway, it’s like that.” Exactly!
What do you think of the pic? Are you excited for the movie?
