Watch your back, Nicki Minaj! Lil Kim is NOT happy with the rapper after her BET Awards diss, and she’s ready to make a comeback as the rap game’s Queen B, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned.
Nicki Minaj, 32, certainly doesn’t scare Lil Kim, 40. The 90s rap star isn’t worried at all about the shade Nicki threw at her during a BET Awards acceptance speech. In fact, it’s only fueled her fire! Ten years after the release of her last album, Kim is ready to make an explosion in the rap community with a massive comeback.
“Everyone wants her to come back. She’s like that fine bottle of wine that’s been in the cellar for a few years,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Everybody keeps talking about her, and when she’s finally ready to be uncorked, it’s going to be an explosion! Just wait — Kim’s got s— in the making and Nicki’s going to wish she didn’t attempt to rattle her cage.”
Okay, so to recap things: Nicki didn’t exactly call Kim out directly while accepting her Coca-Cola Viewer’s Choice Award at the June 28 show. However, many fans speculated that a certain portion of her message was a total dig at Kim’s career. “I want to tell you to please make it your business to follow your dreams because one day you will look around and your dream will be gone and you will be mad at somebody,” she said. “But be mad at your g–d— self!”
After a successful career in the 90s and early 2000s, Lil Kim pretty much reached a standstill in her career. Plus, she and Nicki have had beef in the past, so there was more than one reason for fans to wonder if that’s where the “Anaconda” singer’s comment was directed.
But, as HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reported, Kim couldn’t care less. “If Nicki thought that her little sly comment would get under Kim’s skin, it didn’t,” our insider dished. “Kim is a legend in this game. She’s the best who’s ever done it and Nicki should be thanking her lucky stars and her fake booty that Kim did it first! Without Kim, there would be no Nicki.”
Diddy Planning Bad Boy Reunion Tour
If Kim is planning to return to showbiz, though, she’s off to a good start. Diddy’s Bad Boy crew, including Kim, Faith Evans, Pharrell, Jadakiss, and more, reunited at the BET Awards for an epic performance, and on June 29, Diddy announced that the ‘family’ would be going on tour!
“Diddy’s squad will be taking the reunion beyond [the] award show,” a source explained to Swagger. “Mary J. Blige, 112, Lil Kim and a bulk of the artists from the original ’90s Bad Boy roster will be touring this year. Ummm…so, yeah — we absolutely can’t wait.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Kim will make a career comeback?
