Chris Brown is ready to step it up as a dad for his daughter, Royalty. The R&B crooner has filed an official paternity suit, asking a judge to suss out child support and a better custody agreement between himself and his little girl’s mom!
Chris Brown, 26, is fed up with the messy custody arrangement between himself and his baby mama, Nia Guzman-Amey, 31. The Texas stripper has made some very difficult demands regarding custody and child support for Royalty. And Breezy is 100% over it. That’s why he’s filing paternity docs — and is asking a judge to step in on his behalf, according to a new report. Read on for all the details!
Chris and Nia have had many bitter battles of 1-year-old Royalty. And all the fights basically boil down to two things: time and money. Nia has been demanding $15 thousand a month in chIld support from CB, which he believes is way more than what is actually fair, according to TMZ.
Mr. Brown has filed legal documents in Houston, Texas (where Royalty lives full-time with Nia) to legally establish paternity. Once he does that, he will be granted the right to go to war with Nia over custody as well as child support.
Chris has been paying Nia $2,500 a month — what he thinks is substantial enough. As in, NOT $15K! Now the “Do It Again” singer would like a Texas court to get involved so that they can determine the right price. Chris is confident their number will be much closer to his than Nia’s, the site alleges.
Chris is also anxious for the judge to lay down the law when it comes to custody guidelines. Nia has been denying him the right to see his daughter, the report claims. Here’s to hoping the best decisions are made with Royalty in mind!
