Rihanna was loving Chris Brown’s performance of ‘Post To Be’ at the BET Awards on June 28. When Breezy saw his ex singing and dancing up a storm, he was so tempted to ‘bring her on stage to dance with him,’ HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY. Here’s what went down.
Rihanna, 27, is one loyal Chris Brown, 26, fan, and was not afraid to show it at the BET Awards on June 28. While the “BBHMM” singer was singing and dancing during his performance of “Post To Be,” Breezy wanted “so badly” to bring RiRi up to dance with him, despite his other ex, Karrueche Tran, 27, being in the audience! HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop.
Rihanna was thoroughly enjoying Chris’ performance with Omarion, and Chris loved watching her dance and sing along. “When he saw her in her chair bouncing to ‘Post To Be,’ he wanted to go down there, grab her hand and bring her on stage to dance with him. He wanted to so badly, but couldn’t because he didn’t want to put her on the spot like that. He regrets it now that he didn’t do it though because they had made eye-contact several times when he performed that song,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Sounds like they had quite the connection! Of course, Chris and Rihanna have always had great chemistry, and it’s nice to see RiRi support him despite their past. Clearly, they have a lot of memories together and it was easy to relive them while he was on stage! “He made a point to look at her when Jhene‘s line, ‘he gotta eat the booty like groceries’ came on. Rihanna knows all about that with him. He knows she likes that freaky s–t and they’ve got history.” We’re not exactly sure Karrueche would have been too thrilled had RiRi gone up there with Chris, though!
Rihanna just couldn’t stop making Chris smile at the BET Awards. Before his performance, Rihanna stopped by to watch Chris rehearse and her kind words made his day, HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned.
“When Ri came and to see part of his rehearsal, he was like ‘what? Is this really happening?’ He played it cool, told her she looked beautiful as always and was surprised and humbled by her words,” our source said, adding, “That made his day, truthfully, and he’s very appreciative of that.”
