There is something to be said about the way a child’s mind works. When Jimmy Kimmel had his team hit the streets to ask young kids what they thought about gay marriage. Their answers will give you all sorts of feels — click to watch!
Jimmy Kimmel loves to use kids for all sorts of things when it comes to his show, mainly pranks. During his latest segment on June 29, the host addressed the issue some parents seem to be having about gay marriage, “How do I explain this to my kids?” In true Jimmy fashion he had young children interviewed on the streets of Hollywood and the result was amazing!
It was only a matter of time before Jimmy Kimmel Live! did a segment on the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage. The host needed to hear from America’s youngest and most adorable citizens about the ruling. The host sent out a street team to Hollywood to ask some very important questions.
In the clip one little girl proudly states that she understands gay marriage, but she herself if waiting until 30 to tie the knot. She believes that anybody should be able to get married as long as their “old enough.”
One little boy has no issue supporting same-sex marriage as well, saying, “If they want to, they should be able to.” But he doesn’t quite see marriage in the cards for him, even though he hasn’t hit double digits yet. The boy is strongly considered about having to give his money away to his spouse. “When you get married, the other person is entitled to any money the other person has.” So hilarious on so many levels.
We couldn’t help but giggle when the interviewer asked a boy his thoughts on to why a person would want to get married. He responded with, “Because they’re pregnant.” Well, he does have a point there.
