‘The Bachelorette’: A Ton Of Tears & New Twist Leads To 4 Eliminations

The first five minutes of ‘The Bachelorette’ featured Shawn straight up asking Kaitlyn if she was in love with him. Talk about intense.

We knew this was coming: Kaitlyn Bristowe wasn’t feeling so hot on The Bachelorette. After sleeping with with Nick Viall, and getting emotionally intimate with Shawn, she had no idea where her head was at. And the guys could tell.

“Are you in love with me?” Yes, Shawn asked Kaitlyn right to her face when he came to her room. However, she did tell him she was falling in love with him, and that he was “it,” So, he may have a point there. Anyway, Kaitlyn felt horrible for hurting him as he continuously told her he wasn’t sure if he could do this.

Next up was the two-on-one, you know not awkward at all. Joe and JJ both told Kaitlyn they were falling in love but then JJ just decided to drop a major truth bomb: he cheated on his ex wife. One one hand, he was honest and as Kaitlyn said, he didn’t have to tell her that. On the other: he cheated on his wife. So, she sent JJ home because she didn’t se a future. Joe got the rose, but that was overshadowed by another break down by Shawn.

So, he showed up at her room and they had another talk — which she assumed was going to be him confronting her about Nick. Instead, he told her that the comments she told him “off camera” to reassure him, actually made him more nervous. Newsflash, Shawn: this is how The Bachelorette works!

The Rose Ceremony

In case you forgot like I did, there are rose ceremonies here. This time, Kaitlyn had a huge decision to make. When kissing Ben Z., she admitted she gave Shawn too much reassurance; she kissed Ben H. after he made sure that even though something was going on, she was still interested; and Nick secured his spot by breaking down in tears, and letting her know he wasn’t telling anyone about their “intimate” night.

It was time to send home two guys. And those two were Tanner (because sorry, he was never even shown) and Ben Z. — I was actually shocked by that.

And The Game Changes

Next up was a road trip! The men, including a snoring Shawn, took the bus while Jared got to ride with her — and go kiss the Blarney Stone. It actually showed the two of them having way more chemistry that we’ve seen so far.

However, afterward Chris Harrison showed up to switch things up. With six men left, usually Kaitlyn would send two home and the final four would bring her to their hometowns. Instead, she’d now send three people home this week, and the three left would go right to overnight dates. Then the final two would get hometown dates. So yeah, basically now she can test out their intimacy skills before deciding to meet the fam.

Having to send home half the guys, Kaitlyn choose Chris for the first date: a helicopter ride to a picnic on a cliff. There she told him that while on paper, he’s everything she wants, her heart’s not in it. With that, she got in a helicopter and left him there, sobbing on a cliff. (Flashbacks to Chris Soules leaving Ashley I. and Kelsey in the badlands!)

Are you shocked that Kaitlyn sent home four guys, HollywoodLifers?
