The first trailer for season two of ‘The Affair’ has arrived, and it’s intense. Showtime’s critically-acclaimed drama is back, and it’s more complicated than ever. Click to WATCH!

The honeymoon phase is over for Alison (Ruth Wilson) and Noah (Dominic West). In the first trailer for season two of The Affair, drama is at an all-time high. Noah is still battling legal troubles, Cole (Joshua Jackson) looks to be back with a vengeance, and, yes, there’s still a lot of steamy sex.

There’s even more trouble on the horizon for our favorite characters this season. If you thought Alison and Noah were just going to live happily ever after, then think again. Alison and Noah have a brief moment of happiness in the beginning of the trailer, but it looks to be short-lived.

It appears that Cole has tracked down Alison, and she’s not too happy about it. However, she has to be a little concerned about Cole. He looks an absolute mess. (But Joshua Jackson still looks hot.) The exes share a sweet hug later in the trailer.

As we all know, Noah was arrested at the end of last season for Scotty Lockhart’s murder. There’s a long road ahead for Noah. And he’s not only dealing with legal troubles, there’s also his ex-wife, Helen (Maura Tierney). There’s nothing quite like a woman scorned. She doesn’t want her kids anywhere near Alison. Yikes.

There’s also brief glimpses of a swerving taxi and Alison standing in the middle of the road. What in the heck is going on? Whatever it is, it’s going to be bonkers. The trailer concludes with Alison saying: “Do you honestly think things turn out for the best? That true love conquers all?” The show returns this fall on Showtime.
