Wow! With so many jaw-dropping, mind-blowing moments during the 2015 BET Awards, it’s hard to pick which one was the best! We saw Chris Brown, 25, deliver multiple performances throughout the night! Nicki Minaj, 32, also got sweet on stage with her boo, Meek Mill, 28! There was Diddy, 45, with his surprise Bad Boy Reunion and there was the awesome tribute to Janet Jackson, 49, after she received the first ever Ultimate Icon award! It was hard to keep track of everything so check out our gallery to see if you missed anything!
It’s unbelievable that the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California held all the star power during the June 28 award show. Some of the biggest celebrities were there! Hosts Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, the stars of Black-ish, did a great job — especially with their hilarious opening number that lightened the mood after Kendrick Lamar‘s powerful and shocking performance of “Alright” that kicked off the show.
There were plenty of surprises during the night. Sean “Diddy” Combs held a Bad Boy Reunion, which saw Lil Kim, Mase, Pharrell Williams and so many more join him for a medley of Bad Boy Records hits! More shocking than Lil’ Kim’s cameo — Diddy fell down in a hole in the floor during the performance! Yikes!
Chris Brown’s first performance of the night started off when he sang his new single, “Liquor,” before — surprise! — kicking into “A-Yo” with Tyga! He was joined by Omarion for their joint hit, “Post To Be.” The most surprising thing about this performance was Breezy’s ex, Rihanna, was seen singing and dancing along!
Music royalty was honored at the BET Awards. The Motown great, Smokey Robinson, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award (which he celebrated with a fabulous performance where he sang alongside Tori Kelly, Robin Thicke, Ne-Yo and Pharrell.)
Speaking of icons, Janet Jackson was on hand to receive the inaugural Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award! Ciara, Jason Derulo and Tinashe honored the “Rhythm Nation” superstar with a special dance tribute to her legendary career.
