Kim Kardashian, who is now happily married to Kanye West, recently opened up about her failed 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries and how she thought her family’s careers were ‘totally over’ when she decided to divorce the NBA player.
Can you imagine a world without Keeping Up With the Kardashians? We can’t. But for a while, Kim Kardashian did. In fact, following her failed 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, 30, Kim thought her family’s public image was tarnished forever.
“At the time when I was going through the divorce I did say to everyone, ‘You guys I think our careers are over. I hope you’ve saved your money. And now we’ll just continue to do our clothing stores and continue to do what we started off doing before the show,'” Kim, 34, told The Drum about her 2011 marriage to the NBA player. “I totally thought it was over.”
“I was being very paranoid,” she further explained. “I just took some time off and the time was really good for me. I cancelled everything. I had a book tour, I had a fragrance launch, I had everything that you could possibly imagine and I just cancelled it all and I took time for me.”
Obviously, Kim and her family recovered. They recently finished filming Season 10 of their hit reality series, and Kim went on to marry Kanye West. They welcomed daughter North West in June 2013, and are currently expecting their second child, a baby boy. And a third one might come after that. “I might try for another one, if God willing, that works out for me,” she told E! News. “Never say never!”
