Excuse us while we freak out! ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Angel’ star Charisma Carpenter has just been cast in Ryan Murphy’s new horror/comedy series, ‘Scream Queens.’ And you’ll never guess who she’s going to play! Find out here.
It was a big day for Scream Queens fans on June 24. Not only did we find out that Ryan Murphy‘s new horror/comedy anthology series will premiere on Sept. 22, but we also learned that Charisma Carpenter, who starred as Cordelia Chase in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, has joined the cast. This is the best news ever!
So who’s Charisma, 44, going to play? The mother of Ariana Grande‘s character, according to HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site Deadline. Right now, not a lot is known about Ariana’s role on the show, but we do know she’ll be playing one of Emma Roberts‘ sorority sisters, named Katherine.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, the new Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk created series follows a sorority on a college campus that is rocked by a series of murders. Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Nick Jonas and Oliver Hudson also star.
On top of Buffy and Angel, Charisma’s past TV credits include Veronica Mars, The Lying Game, Sons of Anarchy, Blue Bloods, Supernatural, and more. Charisma confirmed the Scream Queens news by posting the below photo on Instagram, as well as a series of headlines.
