As if we needed more proof that Taylor Swift was into Calvin Harris, she told the crowd at the Glasgow stop on her ‘1989’ tour that she totally loves Scottish people. We get the hint, Tay!
She’s been busy taking over the world, and now Taylor Swift, 25, took her 1989 world tour to Glasgow, Scotland for her first stop in the UK on June 23. While performing for the thrilled crowd, Tay let them know something important — she absolutely loves Scottish people! Maybe that’s because boyfriend Calvin Harris, 30, happens to be from Dumfries, Scotland? How cute!
That’s one creative way to tell the world you love your boyfriend! Taylor was doing her thing, wowing the crowd at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow with her perfectly amazing 1989 show, and took a little break to let the crowd in on an important message: she’s definitely down with Scotland. And that happens to include Calvin, if you remember.
“Look at all of these amazing Scottish people in this room right now,” she gushed to the crowd. “I happen to love Scottish people, personally.” Oh, we know what you’re saying, girl. What a subtle, but adorable message to your man at home! It’s only appropriate she gives Calvin a sweet shout-out. After all, he’s holding up the fort back in the United States, taking special care of Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey while Taylor’s on the road!
What’s even cooler about Taylor’s Glasgow show? She revealed that she and Calvin have something seriously awesome in common — they share the same roots! She only learned about her Scottish heritage very recently after emailing with her dad. “My dad sent me an email,’ she shared with the crowd. ‘It said our whole family is from Scotland, so I evidently am one of you.”
Do you think Calvin knows about his girlfriend’s Scottish roots? We bet he’s thrilled that he and his sweetie share something so personal; it’s probably bringing them even closer together — cats or no cats! Now when is the romantic couple’s trip to Dumfries happening?
HollywoodLifers, do you think Taylor’s message is as sweet and subtle as we do? Let us know in the comments and be sure to take our poll!
