Mariah Carey is wasting NO time in her new relationship with James Packer. The singer and billionaire are even already planning marriage, though they’ve only been dating for a VERY short period of time, a new report claims!

It’s been only five months since Nick Cannon filed for divorce, but Mariah Carey is already getting very serious with a new man! As the 45-year-old and her billionaire boyfriend, James Packer, continue their romantic getaway, a new report says they’re already making wedding plans…and that James may have already even proposed!

“He’s already told her he wants to marry her, sooner rather than later,” TMZ claims, adding that Mariah is ‘open to tying the knot’ with her smitten new love. The pair certainly haven’t held back from flaunting their new relationship, and have been showing off major PDA during a luxurious trip on his yacht for the last several days.

There’s one little obstacle, though: Mariah’s still married to her ex, Nick! The America’s Got Talent host just filed for divorce in December 2014, and considering the exes have two kids together, there’s likely a lot to be worked out in these proceedings. So it looks like James is going to have to wait a bit before popping the question!

Mariah & James’ Romantic European Vacation

News of Mariah and James’ romance broke on June 19, when they were photographed holding hands in Italy. Since then, they’ve been seen cruising around on his massive yacht throughout the Mediterranean, and the “Infintiy” singer seems totally happy, relaxed and at ease with her new man.

The hot new couple got together after being set up by Brett Ratner, Mariah’s good friend and one of James’ business partners. “Brett knows a ton of people with a ton of money,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He always needs to be where the cash is to finance his film ideas, and James has become a friend and Brett knew Mariah would be a great fit for him. Brett was definitely the matchmaker when everyone thought he himself was going for Mariah’s heart.”

James certainly has a lot to offer in the money department: He’s a billionaire, estimated to be worth $6 billion as of May 2015, and one of the richest men in Australia. The 47-year-old owns a major media company, Consolidated Press Holdings Limted, which he inherited from his father, and puts most of his focus on its worldwide gambling empire, Crown. James has transformed Crown into one of Australia’s largest entertainment resort groups. Pretty impressive, Mariah!
