Kaitlyn Bristowe is getting all sorts of attacked after the June 22 episode of ‘The Bachelorette’ where she decided to have sex with Nick Viall. However, if anyone has her back, it’s Nick. He took to Twitter to come to her defense — and made some pretty good points.
The Bachelorette got super steamy this week when Kaitlyn Bristowe decided to invite Nick Viall back to her suite, and ended up sleeping with him. I’ve said it before, she has nothing to be ashamed of, but I’m not the only one that feels that way. After everyone on the episode (especially Shawn Booth) freaked out, Nick took to Twitter to defend Kaitlyn, letting everyone know that they need to have some respect for her!
“There is a more to intimacy than just sex,” Nick began tweeting during the episode. Then, he continued with a series of tweets. “Kaitlyn showed a lot of courage by admitting 2 having sex on national TV knowing that she will be unfairly judged by some. Sex is not shameful. Whether we admit it or not, sex is important part of many serious and meaningful relationships. Despite what we have been led to believe, both men & women have an emotional connection to sex that we all should respect. Kaitlyn acknowledging that there are others involved shows she respects the emotional connection men can have to sex . Both men and women have an equal right to have sex without judgement.”
I’ve got to say it’s nice to see him sticking up for her — it does take two. Plus, even though Kaitlyn called it a “f–king mistake” during last night’s episode, she later admitted in an interview that she doesn’t regret it, and that she really cared for Nick. The only thing she wishes she had done differently was the timing — which of course, she didn’t want to hurt the other guys.
