Diddy, 45, might just end up in so much trouble that money won’t even be able to help him. The rapper got into a physical altercation with his son’s college football coach, Sal Alosi, at UCLA on June 22. He was arrested for on suspicion for assault with a deadly weapon after he used a kettlebell to attack the coach. Diddy is now being charged with 3 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, 1 count of making terrorist threats, 1 count of battery, according to TMZ. The rapper was allegedly yelling threats during the physical fight with his son’s football coach, but the specific threat in question has not been disclosed.
If Diddy is found guilty on the terrorist threat charge, he could be facing some serious consequences! According to criminaldefenselawyer.com, “Depending on the state and the nature of the threat, a conviction for making a terrorist threat can result in a prison sentence of 40, and even 100 or more years in prison.”
In case you missed it, Diddy was taken into custody early on the morning of June 22, police confirmed to HollywoodLife.com. Diddy’s son, Justin Combs‘ coach was “was riding Justin [on Sunday], screaming intensely at him,” and told him not to come back until the end of the summer, a source told TMZ. Diddy was not too pleased with the way the coach was treating his son, so he apparently took matters into his own hands. Diddy was acting in self-defense and was not the aggressor, sources also claim.
UPDATE: A rep for Diddy has released the following statement:
“The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate. What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son. We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed.”
