‘AGT’ Week 5: Heidi Klum Stunned By Incredible 11-Year-Old Opera Singer Arielle Baril

An opera singer by the name of Arielle Baril gave us all the feels as soon as she opened her mouth and belted out the performance of a lifetime on week 5 of ‘AGT.’ Particularly taken by the young girl’s talent? Our fave judge, Heidi Klum!

Week 5 of auditions for America’s Got Talent really rocked the socks off judges Mel B, 39, Howard Stern, 61, Howie Mandel, 59, and especially Heidi Klum, 41. After an impressive round of acts including a sexy mentalist, a singer’s ode to Taylor Swift and a daredevil grandpa — one performer really touched Heidi’s heart. After Arielle Baril, 11, sung her lungs out in a stunning operatic number, the former supermodel had no choice but to send the 6th grader straight to the AGT live shows at Radio City Music Hall in NYC!

This week of AGT really started off on a high note — literally! Walking onto the stage to take the mic, you’d never know that a powerhouse lived inside 11-year-old, Arielle. But once the music started and Arielle began to sing, gone was the shy and reserved middle-schooler as we were introduced to an opera superstar talented beyond her years. We legit got the chills watching the young lady slay the singing game. Watch the video above and see for yourself!

After Arielle finished the song with finesse, all four judges’ jaws dropped, visibly taken back by her skills — specifically, Heidi! The blonde beauty admitted to Arielle that her high-octave vocal range made “my hairs stand up,” just before pressing her golden buzzer — the button that automatically sends a contestant right on through to the live shows to compete for the final prize. “I love you so much that I’m going to send you straight to Radio City Music Hall!” You go, girl!

Other acts that got our blood pumping? Oz Pearlman, a handsome mentalist who blew the judges’ minds away. After revealing that he knew what Mel was thinking about (a Fiji vacation she took with former Spice Girl, Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell in the ’90s), he won the judges over with his head games — and charm. With four yeses, he was sent on to the next round!

Next up: Alex Boye, a seasoned performer who rocked it out with a dancing band (not to mention amazing feathered shoulder pads that were all kinds of #StyleGoals) to T-Swift’s “Shake It Off.” The show-stopping song and dance had the whole crowd on their feet and earned him a ticket to advance in the competition! “I can’t shake that off,” an excited Howie raved to Alex.”That was the best music performance I’ve seen in my six years of being on this show!”

Before these performers flaunted their talents, other acts also got some positive reactions from Heidi and the gang. Standouts included Shell Higgens, a grandfather turned stuntman with an affinity for chainsaws, The Gentleman, an adorable dancing duo of brothers who broke it down to Usher‘s “Caught Up,” and Semeneya, a salsa dance troupe who prevailed, despite one member of their group being sent to the hospital after a painful knee injury.

While all the acts above left an impact, there were quite a few who fell flat. Unfortunately, the following hopefuls did not make it any further: a turtle trainer who couldn’t get her tortoise to eat a strawberry, a tap dancing/bird-calling senior citizen and an odd pair of Las Vegas cab drivers who thought they could juggle, but were severely mistaken. Better luck next time, guys!
