WOW! While President Obama sat down with Marc Maron for his ‘WTF’ podcast on June 22, people were quite surprised after the president actually dropped the N-word when the two were discussing racism. But, believe it or not, now they’ve turned it into one big joke!
President Barack Obama, 53, recorded an episode of Marc Maron‘s, 51, WTF podcast and shocked people after the N-word was stated by the president. Yep, that happened! While the two met in Marc’s Highland Park, California home for the recording, the two touched on many important topics like gun control and racism, but it was the N-word comment that really caught the attention of many. Find out what people are saying about it!
When the time came when Marc and President Obama discussed racism, the president said, “The legacy of slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination in almost every institution of our lives — that cast’s a long shadow, and that’s still part of our DNA that’s passed on… It’s not just a matter of it not being police to say n**** in public. That’s not the measure of whether racism exists or not.”
Although President Obama’s statement was a total shock to listeners and Americans everywhere, social media users are reacting much more positively than anyone expected. Take a look at some of the reactions to President Obama’s interview on June 22. It seems many are in support of the president!
Chick on Fox News called Obama "The-Rapper-In-Chief" this is why I literally can't be friends with you if you watch this garbage

President Obama said that racism is bigger than whether or not it's polite to say nigger in public. Why the hell are YOU outraged by this?

I'm so perturbed by the Media nowadays, President Obama uses the N-word to pass a message and they use it to shift focus from the issue.Nkt

I love president Obama. Hate the system he has to be a part of, the people he has to appease, but believe he's a GREAT man with a big heart.

Hilarious that people really upset President Obama used the N-word. Proof people don't care about contexts. Media main culprits.

For those of you who missed it, the topic of racism in America during the podcast came after the devastating Charleston Church Shooting that happened on June 17, in South Carolina. President Obama opened up to Marc during the podcast revealing, “It’s not enough just to feel bad. There are actions that could be taken to make events like this less likely. And one of those actions we could take would be to enhance some basic common-sense gun safety laws, that, by the way, the majority of gun owners support.”
