This is major! Patrick Schwarzenegger has just landed his first starring role in what sounds like it’s going to be a huge movie– and he’s starring opposite Bella Thorne! We’ve got all the deets!
Patrick Schwarzenegger is adapting to his father’s acting roots! The handsome dude has just been cast in the upcoming film, Midnight Sun— and he’s going to star alongside Bella Thorne! The film, which is based on a 2006 Japanese movie, does not yet have a release date, however, we know that it will depict a young adult love story between the two (ridiculously attractive) leads!
Miley who? Patrick is ready to step into the spotlight in a major way! In Midnight Sun, Bella will play Katie, a 17-year-old who’s lived in a shelter since childhood and who suffers from a rare disease which makes sunlight deadly. Patrick will play Charlie, whom Katie meets and falls for as they head out on the summer adventure of a lifetime.
As we said, a premiere date has not yet been announced, however, shooting is scheduled to begin in September. The role is a pretty big deal for Patrick, whose acting credits thus far have been on the smaller side, including films such as Grown Ups 2 and Stuck In Love.
Actually, Patrick is most well known for things that have nothing to do with his acting talents: his father, former governor of California and Terminator star, Arnold Schwarznegger, and his very public relationship (and breakup) with one Ms. Miley Cyrus. Certainly, Patrick must be excited to get out into the movie making biz, and make a name for himself based on his own talents– and we’re excited to watch him do it!
What do you think of Patrick starring in a film opposite Bella? Are you excited to see him show off his acting chops?
