This is the best news we’ll hear today, guaranteed. Ashton Kutcher has officially signed on for ‘Shark Tank’ in a role which they are referring to as ‘guest shark.’ We know, too adorable. We’ve got all the deets!
On the upcoming seventh season of ABC’s hit series Shark Tank, Ashton Kutcher, 37, will serve as a “guest shark” for a limited time. The series will return on Sept. 25, however, Ashton’s stint has not been given a specified date just yet. Ashton though, being the sneaky guy he is, is said to have already taped the episode! Here’s what else we can reveal about the actor’s time as a shark!
Although ABC has not yet confirmed Ashton’s part in Shark Tank, a source revealed exclusively to our sister site TV Line that he has in fact signed on.
While the move might be surprising for those who know Ashton for his sillier roles such as Two and a Half Men and Dude, Where’s My Car?, it actually isn’t such a stretch. In fact, in recent years, Mr. Kutcher has been extremely invested in, well, investing!
In the past few years alone, Ashton has invested in several tech companies including Foursquare, Airbnb, Fab.com and Skype (ever heard of it?). He also participated in a mock Shark Tank discussion at Colgate University in 2014, so clearly he is the right guy for this job!
Ashton’s “guest shark” role comes on the heels of the other recent announcement that he will be starring in a new Netflix series, The Ranch. The show, which will drop on the streaming site at some point in 2016, thrillingly will reunite Ashton with his That 70s Show costar, Danny Masterson. In other words, Ashton is having a busy– and amazing– year so far!
