Can you really think of anyone who’s starred in not one, but two major film franchises in the span of one year — and pulled it off so epically? Chris did so with style, dominating summer 2014 as the star of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. As Star Lord, Chris mixed wit and brawn to create the ultimate action hero: a goofy guy who just wanted the galaxy to be safe — and wanted to listen to some amazing tunes at the same time. Let’s not forget how Chris had to make his body into a rock solid slab of abs to play the part, too!

In early 2015, Chris’ longtime run as the lovable Andy Dwyer on NBC’s Parks and Recreation finally came to an end after seven seasons. Fans were devastated that the show ended after six years, especially after seeing Andy go through so many transformations — Burt Macklin, FBI and Johnny Karate to name a couple. The show revealed how Chris was truly a master of comedy.
Of course, he’s now a bonafide movie star. Jurassic World has taken the spot as the movie the with largest-opening of all time (seriously), and that’s due in large part to Chris and his motorcycle-following herd of raptor buddies. It’s good to be king of the (jurassic) world!
A Birthday & Father’s Day All-In-One
Isn’t it nice for Chris that he has two holidays to celebrate today? His insanely cute family with Anna Faris, 38, means he gets to spend his special day with his beautiful wife and baby, Jack. Dad has already taught his toddler the Pledge of Allegiance; maybe they’ll move on to the Star Spangled Banner next?
