Rob Kardashian is OVER it. His family’s help, that is. While the Kardashians and Jenners have done their best to try and get Rob out of his rut as he battles obesity and depression — he has made it clear he wants none of it!
Oh no! Even though Rob Kardashian, 28, has finally stepped out of the house after months of living as a recluse, it doesn’t mean the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is ready to get better. He’s unfortunately fallen victim to a well-documented weight issue, as well as social anxiety problems. A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Rob’s mom and sisters have done everything in their power to get him the help he needs — but he refuses their assistance every single time.
“[Rob] has extreme social anxiety, is very unhealthy and just isn’t doing anything to get back on his feet. The whole Kardashian and Jenner family is worried sick about him but they just don’t know what to do,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Even if Kris Jenner, 59, and Co. did know what to do, it’s not like Rob would listen! “He refuses to get therapy or to go get help,” our insider explains. “He has his own money still as he spends very little. They feel like they have tried everything but until Rob wants help it’s virtually impossible for them to give him help.”
Rob’s current difficulties have only been magnified by the death of his former roommate (and Lamar Odom‘s bestie) Jamie Sangouthai. After seeing how quickly Jamie lost his life due to drugs, Rob couldn’t handle the news at first and was “freaking out.”
Rob and Jamie were even “living together for a while,” sources tell HollywoodLife.com, and that the two, along with Lamar, “would spend night after night…playing video games, goofing around trying to make rap songs and getting into trouble.”
Sadly, the trouble took a hold of Jamie. On June 14, he passed away due to Fasciitis and Chronic Intravenous Narcotism. He was just 37 years old. In layman’s terms, Jamie died from a horrifying flesh and muscle eating disease linked to drug use. As Dr. Marc Kayem told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, Jamie’s condition was an “aggressive infection that kills as many as 50% of people who get it.”
Just like Jamie, Rob has combatted his own demons during the last several years — with Rob personally facing depression and body issues. “Seeing someone close to him lose their battle,” our source reveals, “is really freaking Rob out.” Let the family step in, then!
HollywoodLifers — what do YOU think? Sould Kris and the rest of the Kardashian and Jenner family do more to help Rob? Or is it just a lost cause? Let us know!
