Yes, yes, yes! The first photos of ‘Ghostbusters’ have been released, and they are incredible. Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig are killing it in their new roles. This female reboot of the classic is going to be straight-up fabulous. Click to see the PICS!
Who ya gonna call? Honestly, we want to call Kate McKinnon, 31, Melissa McCarthy, 44, and Kristen Wiig, 41, to get the scoop on their roles in the upcoming Ghostbusters movie! The first pictures from the set of the all-female reboot have finally been revealed, and we have so many questions. Melissa’s on the move, Kristen’s rocking a plaid suit and Kate is, well, looking hilariously wacky!
Let’s break down what we’re looking at here. We’ll start with Kate. The Saturday Night Live fave is dressed in paint-splattered overalls and rocking steampunk glasses. Her platinum blonde hair is in total disarray. Man, what a look. There’s no word yet on who’ll she be playing, but it’s safe to say her character is going to be wild and funny beyond belief.
Standing next to her is Melissa, who is looking way more casual that her co-star. Dressed in black from head-to-toe and sporting glasses, Melissa looks like she’s running the show. We’re not quite sure what to make of Kristen’s look. In another set photo, Kristen is dressed in a demure plaid suit. Could this be a flashback of some sort? She looks pretty darn dated!
Director Paul Feig revealed that filming was starting on June 18 in a tweet filled with slime. The movie is being filmed in Boston, Massachusetts. Leslie Jones is also starring, but she wasn’t in these first scenes.
This Ghostbusters reboot is going to become an instant classic just like the original. In a surprising twist, Avengers star Chris Hemsworth was cast as the receptionist. We can’t even deal right now. Chris originally passed on a role in the film, but after his role was beefed up, he accepted the offer, according to our sister site Variety.
There’s also this little juicy bit of Ghostbusters scoop: Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd could possibly make a cameo in the new film. “They are negotiating,” a source told the Boston Herald. “But, of course, no one can get ahold of Murray.”
HollywoodLifers, do you think the new Ghostbusters movie is going to be better than the original? What do you think of these first pics? Let us know!
