A music collaboration from Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez? YES PLEASE! HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that the gal pals are talking about working on an ‘out of this world’ song together, and they have a few different subjects in mind.
Taylor Swift, 25, and Selena Gomez, 22, are both super busy with their respective careers, but when they do have time to catch up, like on their June 16 lunch date, they’ve been discussing plans to collaborate on a new song. And HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop on what you can expect if the besties ever work on music together!
“Selena and Taylor talk about music all the time. It wouldn’t surprise me if they collaborate on something soon,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “But when they do decide to work on something together, they want it to be out of this world, and be about friendship, boys, and overcoming anything. They always talk about this when they see each other!”
And even if they don’t put out a track with both of their voices on it, the ladies are still working together when it comes to music. As HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reported, Taylor is actually helping the “Good For You” singer write her upcoming album!
“Taylor has sat down with Selena a few times to talk about the writing process,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Despite all her success, she never comes off as arrogant or like a know-it-all. She just suggested a few things that helped her along the way, and now Selena has incorporated them into her music.”
Taylor Swift Inspiring Selena Gomez To Write New Music
Selena will premiere her new song and video for “Good For You” on June 22, and as new music keeps coming from the gorgeous 22-year-old, we can definitely expect to notice some flashes of Taylor in the lyrics.
“Selena’s written a lot more songs base on her personal experience and heartbreaks,” our source explained. “It was Taylor that she drew inspiration from in that sense, who told her that’s something she should really focus on, because it’s what young people, especially young female fans, can relate to.”
The former Disney star definitely had a lot of success when she used that technique on her 2014 hit “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” a raw, emotional track about her relationship with Justin Bieber, 21. Plus, we know it’s worked out pretty darn well for Taylor — that’s no secret! We can’t wait to hear Selena’s new stuff!
