Selena Gomez has been teasing fans with hints about her upcoming music video for ‘Good For You’ and now she has just shown fans the beginning of the video and it’s amazing! She’s singing about love and we can’t help but wonder if it’s about Justin Bieber!
Selena Gomez just made her fans dreams come true on June 17 with a snippet of her “Good For You” video. In the behind-the-scenes video you see Selena standing in a recording studio and reading some very poetic words off her phone and into the microphone. She then stands back and you hear the first beats of her song drop! It really reminds of us the opening of “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” which was all about her break up with Justin Bieber.
Selena posted the clip with this caption: “i feel like I can exhale #goodforyou June 22nd.” But the best part are the lyrics she’s reading: “But I’m blinded by the sun. I’m reborn in every moment. So who knows what I’ll become.” We totally feel like this is the part two of her break up anthem “The Heart Wants What It Wants” and maybe she’s trying to tell the world that she’s moved on from Justin. The entire video is expected to drop on June 22, right around the same time Justin’s video for “Where Are You Now” will make its debut.
We can’t help but think about “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” which opens with Selena crying in her dressing room about Justin and saying “I know him though. I know his heart and I know what he wouldn’t do to hurt me. But I didn’t realize feeling so confident and great about myself and then it just be completely shattered by one thing. By something so stupid. But then you make me feel crazy, like it’s my fault. I was in pain.”
“Selena’s written a lot more songs based on her personal experiences and heartbreaks,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com. “It was Taylor that she drew inspiration from in that sense, who told her that’s something she should really focus on because it’s what people, especially young female fans, can relate to. Selena has written about elements of her relationship with Justin on the new album. She’s also taken inspiration from stories of her girlfriends’ break-ups and heartbreaks, as she aims to make her music more real than it’s ever been.”
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of the beginning of Selena’s new song?
