Poor Kylie Jenner. The reality star has been under intense scrutiny since her family’s show premiered almost ten years ago. In an emotional new Snapchat confession, Kylie opens up about what it’s been like to be bullied by ‘the world,’ and shares some promising advice for her followers.
Kylie Jenner, 17, has been killing the Snapchat game recently, but it’s not always about fun selfies and crazy videos with her friends. On June 17, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star took a different approach, sharing a message with her viewers about bullying — and it’s really a tearjerker!
Sitting in a dark room and filming herself close-up, Kylie gets real about what she’s gone through since KUWTK premiered in 2007. The reality star speaks in a soft voice, and actually almost sounds on the verge of tears as she tells her story to nearly 4 million followers.
“I’ve been bullied since I’ve been nine…from the whole world, it feels like sometimes,” she admits. “I think I’ve done a good job at handing all this, but there’s bullies everywhere. So this is just a little late Snapchat to tell whoever has their own bullies that the only opinion that really matters is yours and to never change.”
Wow, that’s definitely an important message! But before signing off to go to sleep, Kylie made sure to assure everyone that she realizes how lucky she is for what she has. “This isn’t a pity party, though, don’t get it twisted,” she continues. “This is to let others with bullies out there know that you’re not alone. Now goodnight, spread love. Love you all.” (WATCH KYLIE’S SNAPCHAT VIDEOS BELOW).
Unfortunately Kylie was thrust into the spotlight from a young age, and she’s had to deal with the criticism from the public ever since. Luckily, these days, she has her boyfriend, Tyga, 25, to lean on…although she’s gotten just as many negative comments for that relationship, considering their age difference!
We totally feel for Kylie, but aside from the bullying, fame has also brought her a ton of amazing opportunities, and we know she’s grateful for those. Let’s just hope all the bullies can take a step down and let her live her life from now on!
