LOL! The first look at the next installment of the ‘Kung Fu Panda’ franchise seriously has us in stitches. Jack Black’s character Po makes an attempt to reconnect with his long-lost dad, but ultimately fails — in the most laugh-worthy of ways!
If you liked the first two Kung Fu Panda movies, well get ready to LOVE Kung Fu Panda 3 — because it looks like it’s going to be the best one yet! A brand new trailer for the kids’ flick dropped on June 18, six months ahead of its Jan. 29 release. With Bryan Cranston added to the cast as Po’s pop, Li — the Breaking Bad star adds a hilarious dose of dry humor that we just can’t get enough of. Get your giggle on by checking out the preview here!
The sneak peek of the sequel to 2011’s Kung Fu Panda 2 shows Po coming across kismet in a chance meeting with his missing dad. And the similarities between the two bears are astounding. Only there’s one major problem: neither are intelligent enough to recognize the resemblances. C’mon now, guys!
“You lost your son?” a forlorn Po asks Li. “Yes, many years ago,” his old man responds. “I lose my father,” Po reveals. After that? No tearful reunion…not even a hug! Just a cordial farewell from each other — and a whole lot of eye-rolling from a crowd of onlookers. Take a look at the trailer above to see the funny moment for yourself.
Making us even more excited for Po’s next adventure? Accompanying the vocal talents of Jack and Bryan are newcomers, Rebel Wilson and J.K. Simmons — as well as vets of the DreamWorks Animation phenom: Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen and David Cross. Talk about star-studded!
